The wind was cool as the airplane touched down on Delhi's runway.
Rudraksh singhania stepped out, his tall figure cutting through the crowd with an air of silent authority. His sharp Black suit blended with his icy aura, and his dark eyes scanned the familiar city lights beyond the glass doors.
It's been years since he last stood on Delhi soil.
"Finally.... Delhi," Rudra muttered under his breath, his voice deep yet unreadable.
Right behind him walked Shivansh Yadhuvashi - his best friend, his business partner, and the only man who knew both sides of Rudra. Unlike Rudra's cold presence, Shivansh's charm and mischievous smile seemed to light up the atmosphere around him.
As they crossed the arrival gate, Shivansh nudged him lightly.
"Well, Mr. Singhania, CEO mode activated again? Or are we still pretending to be the dark knight of Delhi?"
Rudra gave him a sideways glance, the corner of his lips almost twitching into a smirk.
"You really think anyone looking at me would mistake me for a saint?"
Shivansh replied while laughing "No chance. One look into your eyes and people know you're dangerous. But your mother - woh tb bhi Terese zyada mujhe pyaar karti hai."
Rudra shook his head, his silence speaking volumes. "She only likes you because you talk too much."
Shivansh spoke while grinning widely "Exactly, Someone has to balance your stone-cold personality and here I am the mood-maker."
"Shut up" Rudra saying while glaring at shivansh.
The two men walked out into the Delhi night, one carrying secrets that could burn the world while other carrying jokes that could heal wounds.
The black luxury car glided silently through Delhi's bustling streets, carrying with it two very different men. Rudra stared out of the tinted window, his expression unreadable as memories of the city flickered in his mind like shadows he's never truly escaped. Beside him, Shivansh hummed along to an old song on the radio, as if the world outside was nothing more than background noise.
The car turned through Gates taller than most houses. The Grand Singhania Mansion stood ahead, a palatial structure drenched in Golden light. The moment the car stopped, the front doors opened and the family poured into the courtyard.
Devyani Singhania was the first to rush forward with a aarti thaal, her eyes brimming with tears. She reached her son before he has even stepped fully out of the car. "Haye Mera Raja beta aa hi gya ghar!"
she circled the thaal around him, performing the aarti, and then gently placed a tilak on his forehead and then did the same thing to shivansh. Rudra and Shivansh touched her feet and then Devyani took Rudra into her arms, holding him with the Fierce love only a mother could give.
His father, Aman Singhania, followed slowly moving his wheelchair with help of Rishabh. "Welcome back, Rudra. This family, this company.....it all needs you now."
(Lemme tell you Aman Singhania has health issues.)
Rudra bowed his head and touched his father's feet respectfully. "I'll stay in Delhi, Dad. From now on, everything will be under control."
Before Aman could answer, Rishabh shouted excitedly "Bhai, finally! Now things will get intersting again. Do you know how boring this house was without you?"
Rudra laughed as Rishabh threw an arm around him. "You haven't grown up all Rishabh." he muttered
Then, a whirlwind of energy ran past Rishabh. Simar - his younger cousin leapt into Rudra's arms and clung to him tightly "Rudra bhai! You have no idea how much I have missed you. Every single day, I counted down to this moment!"
Rudra smiled and kissed her forehead gently "My princess," he whispered.
"You're still the best part of this house."
The laughter that followed carried warmth through the courtyard as Rudra's chacha and Chachi also joined in followed by Vivaan teasing Rudra "Careful, bhai. Now that you're here, all of us will have to follow strict rules again." earning a soft glare from Rudra.
The family laughed, but Shivansh suddenly cleared his throat dramatically "Excuse me, hello? No one's going to welcome me? I came from Australia too, you know." And then start singing while fake crying "Esa sillah diya tumne mere pyaar ka"
Meera, Rudra's chachi laughed "Shivansh, you're already part of this family. Honestly, you bring more joy than Rudra does." Everyone laughed harder. Rudra's cold eyes flicked to Shivansh, who only smirked wider.
"Jealous aren't you?" he whispered.
Rudra didn't respond and simply walked inside the mansion.
The air was filmed with laughter, food and love. Rudra played the perfect son and brother. From the world outside he was a ruthless storm but for his family, he was home.
